Crewe civic & cultural space regeneration
Crewe civic & cultural space regeneration
The regeneration of Crewe’s Civic and Cultural space is transforming the area around Memorial Square and the former library site into a vibrant, welcoming public realm. This revitalised space now features landscaped seating areas, new trees, flower beds, and modern lighting, creating a more attractive and accessible route linking the Lifestyle Centre, Memorial Square, and the Market Hall.
The project also includes the construction of a new two-storey entrance to the Crewe Magistrates’ Civil and Family Courts, along with the addition of a 31-space short-stay car park to improve convenience for visitors.
This major improvement initiative is funded through the government’s Future High Streets Fund and Towns Fund, with additional support from Cheshire East Council.
